SB 2434       RELATING TO SUBSTANCE ABUSE                      JDC/HHS, WAM
           Establishes a substance abuse policy council within
           the office  of  the  governor  to develop statewide
           policy   regarding   education,   prevention,   and
           treatment programs;  provides  funding  sources and
           mechanisms. 

SB 2936       RELATING TO SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT            JDC/HHS, WAM
           FOR CRIMINAL OFFENDERS
           Establishes  a  special  fund  for  the  purpose of
           supporting  integrated   case   management   and  a
           continuum of substance abuse treatment services for
           criminal offenders.

JDC ONLY

SB 2435       RELATING TO SUBSTANCE ABUSE                          JDC, WAM
           Mandates substance  abuse  assessment  or treatment
           for offenders under  the  custody of the Department
           of Public Safety.

SB 2410       RELATING TO FORFEITURE                               JDC, WAM
           Requires moneys from  property seized and forfeited
           for  drug  offenses   to   be  distributed  to  the
           Department of Public  Safety  to  be  used for drug
           treatment programs for inmates. 

SB 2432       RELATING TO A SENTENCING SIMULATION MODEL            JDC, WAM
           Appropriates $71,018  to  the  department of public
           safety for  the  corrections  population management
           commission to  develop,  implement,  and maintain a
           sentencing simulation model.

SB 2152       RELATING TO THE INTERSTATE COMPACT FOR THE           JDC, WAM
           SUPERVISION OF ADULT OFFENDERS
           Authorizes state  participation  in  the Interstate
           Compact for the Supervision of Adult Offenders.
